What we do

For Schools and Teachers

QRF envisions a future where every child in Jordan can read with comprehension by the age of 10, at the end of third grade.

Achieving this goal requires us to bridge the resource gaps that many teachers face in delivering effective Arabic instruction. It also calls for expanding the evidence base on what truly works in teaching Arabic, so that educators and policymakers can make more informed, impactful decisions.

Equally important, we strive to nurture a love of reading among children. By working within the public school system and in partnership with others, we aim to ensure that teachers are equipped with the right training and support, and that schools are enriched with libraries and engaging books that inspire children to read.

Mission
Improve the teaching and learning of Arabic in the classroom by focusing on teachers and students and finding “what works” for Jordan and the region.
Vision
Students in Jordan read fluently and with comprehension by age 10.
