Inspiring parents to embrace early literacy practices as a cornerstone of their children’s future success. Iqrali اقرأ لي ("Read to Me") is an innovative, long-term social behavior change program designed to empower parents in Jordan to become active participants in their children’s early literacy journey.
At the Queen Rania Foundation, we believe that improving educational outcomes goes beyond developing research and programs—it starts with understanding human behavior. That’s why we embed behavioral science at the core of our program and initiative design, making change achievable, tangible, and lasting.
Behavioral science helps us understand how people make decisions, and why their actions may not always align with their intentions. With these insights, we create evidence-based interventions that are grounded in real-life experiences and aligned with the cultural and social contexts of Jordan and the Arab world.
We focus on removing the psychological, social, and environmental barriers that hinder change. By applying principles such as simplicity, timely action, and social influence, we make positive behaviors—like reading at home—easier to adopt and sustain.
Through initiatives like Iqrali, we transform everyday practices into powerful learning opportunities, empowering parents and educators to play an active role in developing children’s skills from the earliest years.
At QRF, we see behavioral science not just as a means of understanding reality, but as a tool for reshaping it toward a better, more equitable future.
