Queen Rania Foundation

About Us

our story

OUR STORY

The Queen Rania Foundation was established by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 2013 with the aim of improving education outcomes in Jordan and the surrounding region. Since then, we have endeavored to achieve this objective by focusing our efforts on a range of overlapping areas including Early Childhood Care and Development, Innovation in Learning, and Teacher Training. Today, the Queen Rania Foundation continues to carry out research, design innovative programs, and support policy makers as they develop education programs.

We believe that our people are our greatest asset and we are proud of our ability to attract the best in the field. Our roots are firmly in Jordan, it’s what sustains and guides us. However, we also have a global presence through our London office, which ensures Jordan has a voice on the world stage. Our team consists of more than 40 men and women who are passionate about changing the reality of education for all Arabic speakers, wherever they are.

WHAT WE DO

We carry out research that addresses some of the biggest challenges facing the education sector today.

We design and implement innovative programs that address the root causes of education challenges in Jordan and the region, and provide sustainable solutions to tackle them.

We bring stakeholders together to discuss the best ways forward, and we continuously look for new partnerships that can strengthen our impact and help us reach as many people as possible.

We rely on the knowledge and expertise we have acquired over the years as well as research and evidence when providing education policy recommendations.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to accelerate improvements in education nationally and regionally.

We look for scalable solutions that can be easily adopted by various stakeholders, be they teachers or caregivers or decision-makers.

Our solutions are innovative. We use the latest technology to create new models for teacher training, launch platforms that offer free online learning for Arabic speakers, and to find ways to engage parents in their children's learning journey.

A National Foundation Aiming to Effect Change in Jordan and Beyond

The Queen Rania Foundation aspires to be a leading incubator for new ideas in the region. It will achieve this by championing research and program implementation, using evidence to inform education policy-making, and improving learning opportunities for Arabic speakers, wherever they may be.
