The Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development (QRF) welcomes interns who are eager to put into practice the skills and knowledge they are learning at university to advance education and development in Jordan.

 

Internship Information

Position Title: QRF Junior Officer in Research/Program Development/Monitoring & Evaluation/Fundraising/Communications (depending on assigned department) - Amman, Jordan.

Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s students (2nd year or higher), Master’s students – relevant degree in social sciences, i.e. education, political science, public policy, economics, data science, development studies, etc.

Language Requirement: English (Arabic an advantage).

Compensation: Stipend of USD 500/month.

Duration: 8-12 weeks. Start date is flexible.

Interns would be able to work on one or more of the following areas:

Research: conduct desk-based research, support in primary research, write briefs and concept notes on topics of relevance to QRF and its affiliations under the themes of Teachers’ Development and Recognition, Early Childhood Education and Development, Equity in Education, Curriculum and Assessment, Education Technology and Online Learning. This also includes opportunities to be involved in impact evaluation research, survey design, and data cleaning and basic data analysis. This year, priority will be given to candidates with strong quantitative skills to support in impact evaluation of educational programs and data analysis.

Program Development: contribute to the development of new and/or existing programs related to pedagogy, formative assessment, school leadership and culture, closing the gender achievement gap, and parental awareness at the early years.

Monitoring and Evaluation: support in data collection, developing data collection tools, and brainstorming frameworks.

Fundraising: support the QRF fundraising team with proposal writing, developing new financing streams etc.

Communications: support the QRF communications team with online marketing, social media, and content development.

Additional Information

QRF could provide interns with:

· An assigned supervisor from QRF’s staff.

· Logistical support including: local orientation, help finding accommodation and pastoral support.

· Access to QRF’s local and regional contacts.

· Workspace: desk, internet, and landline.

· Access to relevant local conferences and events.

QRF expectations regarding interns:

· Full-time commitment (Sunday-Thursday) from 9am to 5pm and located in Amman.

· Terms of References (ToRs) will be developed for all interns, based on their skill-set, experience and interest.
